Advantages of FRP pipes

1、Corrosion resistance

FRP pipes have inherent corrosion resistance. In most cases, fiberglass-reinforced plastics are the only materials that can handle certain service environments. In addition, their corrosion resistance is usually combined with their cost advantage, making them the most acceptable solution. The corrosion resistance of glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes is a function of the total resin content and the resin used in the pipe laminate. Therefore, higher resin content means higher corrosion resistance.

The low weight to strength ratio of FRP pipe is another significant advantage of FRP pipe. For the same strength, fiberglass reinforced plastic pipe is about half the weight of aluminum and one-seventh that of stainless steel.
